Susan Lynn Taylor, 67, of Long Point passed away Tuesday (August 3, 2021) at her home.
A visitation will be held Sunday from 3 until 6 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11AM at the Long Point United Methodist Church. Burial following in Long Point Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Taylor, Kyle Beutke, Kirk Beutke, Bill Berge, Gail Rapp, Kevin Gray, Steve Rapp, and David Sass. Honorary will be her grandchildren.
Sue was born on March 13, 1954, in Norfolk, VA to James and Treva (Garmann) Garl Jr. She married Kent Taylor on August 28, 1982. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Katie (Eric) Paullin of Lexington, KY and Benjamin (Caitlin) Taylor of Normal, grandchildren Liam and Emma Paullin, Alec, Andrew, and Adam Taylor, sister, Mary (Richard) Berry of Myrtle Beach, SC, nieces, Christina Reid and Rebecca Taylor, nephew Robert Taylor, brother-in-law, Verne Taylor of Ancona and sister-in-law Mary Taylor of Bloomington,
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Zoe Paullin and nephew William Taylor.
Sue earned her RN degree from Old Dominion University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. Sue retired from OSF Hospital in 2016. She was a member of the Long Point United Methodist Church, Long Point American Legion Auxiliary, Lindy Club, a former Wide Awake Timberline 4H Leader and served as a former Woodland School Board member. Sue belonged to a quilting group with friends.
Memorials may be made in Sue’s name to the Livingston County 4-H or to her grandchildren’s college education funds.
