Bonnie L. Madara, 83 of Streator passed away Wednesday (January 6, 2021) at her home.
Private family services will be held at Winterrowd Funeral Home followed by a mass at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Public graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be, sons-in-law, Rusty Roudebush and Terry Kimes, nephews, Mike Robinson, Dan Madara, Scott Madara and Dave Mills.
Bonnie was born on July 7, 1937 in Odell to William E. and Jane M. (Boland) Mills. She married Ralph Madara Sr. on July 9, 1955. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1999.
Surviving are daughters, Cathy (Rusty) Roudebush of Manville and Linda (Terry) Kimes of Bristol, WI, son Ralph (Emilie Overy) Madara Jr of Streator, grandchildren, Lori (Matt) McKinney and Rusty Wayne (Teri) Roudebush, 3 great-grandchildren, Addisyn and Gavin McKinney and Haley Roudebush, sisters, Virginia Clark and Judy Pickworth both of Streator, sisters-in-law, Marge Chenniliaro, Ruth Madara, Pat Wahl, Judy Madara all of Streator and Betty Mills of Ancona and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, John and Jerry Mills and a sister Betty Janssen.
Bonnie attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School. She was a former CNA at Heritage Manor and was known as “The Bait Lady or Mom” at the South End Bait & Tackle Shop.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
