William F. Cooley

April 20, 1924 — October 31, 2019

William F. Cooley, 95 of Long Point passed away Thursday morning (October 31, 2019) at the Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Visitation will be held Monday from 10 – 12 noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Monday at noon at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery.

Bill was born on April 20, 1924 in Lawrenceville, IL to Raymond and Wanda Opal (Mills) Cooley.  He married Mary E. Lowery on September 20, 1951.  She preceded him in death on August 17, 2016.

Surviving are son Jack (Donna) Cooley of Streator, daughter Robin Cooley of Long Point, 2 grandchildren, Jacob and Sara Cooley, sisters Wanda Kennett of Brownstown and Margaret Imogene Koehler of Breese, IL.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Ronald Cooley, brother Artie Cooley and sisters Audrey Settles and Alfreda Wuebbles.

He attended school in Carlyle and retired from Owens Illinois Glass and was a member of the New Life Christian Center, Cornell.  Bill enjoyed gardening, watching the birds and horses.

Memorials may be made to the New Life Christian Center, Cornell.
