William “Bill” L. Stith, 69, of Licking, MO and formerly of Streator passed away at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with AML on March 12, 2025.
He was born January 21, 1956, in Streator to Donald & Lila (Volk) Stith, Sr. He married the love of his life, Karen L. Shrader on March 23, 1972 in Cumberland, Maryland. She survives in Licking, MO.
Bill worked at both family businesses, Dog-N-Sud’s and Don’s Trailer Sales and when his dad retired he purchased the family property and started his own business, Streator R.V. He retired in June of 2021 and sold the property and moved to Licking, MO.
Bill enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with his family and tinkering with things.
He is also survived by a daughter, Stacey (Kiley) Schmitt of Licking, a son, Robert Stith of Kangley; grandchildren: John (Patience) Carter III and Joseph (Jennipher ) Carter; great grandchildren, Isabella, John IV, Daniel, Isis, Caenaann and Raena Carter; a sister Debra (the late Alan) Ragusa of Streator; brothers: Donald (Miguel) Stith Jr. of San Diego, CA and James (the late Connie) Stith of Lake Alfred, FL; as well as his good buddy Raggs and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Charles (Doris) Stith and sisters: Donna (Jerry) Brumfield, Patricia Doles and Barbara (Tim) Carter.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday June 1st at 1:00 PM at the Marshall County Sportsman’s Club, 3059 County Rd 1250 North, Wenona, Il.
Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial white oak tree to be located at Marshall County Sportsman’s Club.
The Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements.
