Vivian M Breckenridge

Vivian Marie Breckenridge, 72 of Dalzell formerly of Streator passed away Monday (November 28, 2022).

A visitation will be held Saturday from 10am until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with services following at noon.  The burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later date.

Vivian was born on October 19, 1950, in Streator to John and Rosa (Henson) Gallup.

Surviving are children, John (Randa Samek) Breckenridge of Lostant, Maryann (Kevin) Stieghorst of Tremont and Barbara (Joseph) Vinyard of Washburn, grandchildren, Salina, Cadence and Lilly Breckenridge, Spencer and Sydney Samek, Blaze, Ridge and Montana Stieghorst, Gracie, Joey and Ben Vinyard, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dogs Midget and Lilly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers John, Steven and Jerry Gallup and sister Joy Keith.

Vivian graduated from Lostant High School in 1969.  She loved being a certified nurse’s assistant, she retired from the Illinois Veterans Home of LaSalle and continued to care for elderly people in need.  Vivian was a CNA for over 30 years.

She was an avid reader, collected cookbooks, and very much enjoyed helping others.  Vivian didn’t know a stranger.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Illinois Veterans Home, LaSalle.
