Virginia M Reed

Virginia M. Reed, 63 of Streator passed away Wed. morning (Mar.31^st)  at the home of her daughter.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5 – 8PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11AM at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Stalker officiating.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Abraham, James Ball, William Grady, Dustin and Brandon Childers and Robert Taylor.

Virginia was born February 4, 1947 in Streator, IL to Virgil and Chelsea (Roberts) Taylor Sr.  She married Ralph E. Reed on May 4, 1973, he passed away Feb. 16, 2009.

Surviving are daughters, Jacki (Michael) Abraham of Arizona, Kathryn (William Grady) Reed and Jeanette (James) Ball, both of Streator, son, Ralph Reed Jr. of Streator, 11 Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Grandchildren, Mother, Chelsea Taylor of Streator, brothers, Virgil (Joann) Taylor and Rollie Eugene (Sheryl) Taylor both of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband and 1 granddaughter Ashley Branning.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and attended Woodland School and was formerly employed at Owens’ Illinois Glass and Thatcher Glass Co.
