Vicie Bernice Olesen

Vicie Bernice Olesen, 82 of Streator passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Bernie was born on May 24, 1938 to John and Ocie Burrow in Arkansas.  She married Ralph Olesen on June 22, 1956 in San Bernardino, California.  They then moved back to Streator and started a family.  Bernie attended the beauty school at the old Plumb Hotel and served the community as a proud, well know, and well loved hair stylist for 40+ years.  Over the years she was very avid in bowling, golfing and investment club.  A beloved and treasured wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend is gone.  A loving open heart and strong working hands have been laid to rest.  She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ralph Olesen.  Two children: a daughter Julie Ann Murray (fiance’ Kurt Johnson) and a son Ralph Michael Olesen.  Two granddaughters: Lindsay Shepard (fiance’ Cory Bradbury) and Elisha Murray.  As well as three great-grandchildren: Makayla Shreves, Peyton Bradbury and Cole Bradbury.
