Thomas John Schiffbauer

Thomas J. Schiffbauer, 71 of Streator passed away Sunday (July 14, 2019) in rural Grand Ridge.

Following cremation, a private family service will be held at the Cumberland Cemetery, rural Wenona.  The Grand Ridge Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Tom was born on April 26, 1948 in Streator to Glenn E. and Martha M. (Schmitz) Schiffbauer.

Surviving are sisters Judy (Leroy) Buckley of Oglesby and Jenny (Bill) Rodrick of Tonica, sister-in-law Pam Schiffbauer of Bryson, TX, brothers-in-law Al Thompson of Tacoma, WA and John Durdan of Streator along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Richard, sisters Juanita Thompson and Anna Marie Durdan.

Tom attended Streator High School.  He served in the US Army during Vietnam and retired from the Laborers International Union of North America Local 393.  Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and outdoor life.
