Susan J. Scharmukschnis, 65 of Streator and formerly of Palos Heights passed away Thursday evening (May 11, 2023) at OSF Center for Health.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery in Oaklawn, IL.
Susan was born on September 16, 1957, in Chicago, IL to Marvin and Jeannine (Bolser) Morey.
She married Rainer Scharmukschnis on December 4, 2015. He survives.
Surviving are her husband, Rainer Scharmukschnis and brother Joseph (Debra) Morey of Bloomington, IL.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents.
She attended Palos East Elementary School in Palos Heights and graduated from Carl Sandburg High School in 1975 in Orland Park, IL.
She formerly was a manager of many gas stations in the Palos Heights area.
