Shane R. Messick

Shane Russell Messick, 39 of Streator passed away Wednesday (September 24, 2025) at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.

A visitation will be held Sunday from 12noon until 3P.M at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with services to follow at 3P.M. Burial will be at D-Anne Cemetery in Coldspring, TX.

Shane was born on March 23, 1986, in Streator to Harley Messick and Patricia Allison.

Surviving are his daughters, Phaelynne and June Messick, father Harley (Melissa) Messick of Streator, mother Patricia Burkett of Washington, IL, siblings, Shannon (Nick) Johnson of Coldspring, TX, Kimberly Allison of Salem, IL, Sarah Davis of Waco, TX, Amanda Moore of Streator, Derek Moore of Streator, Kenny Moore of Long Point and Toby Moore of Normal and Grandmother Sharon Davis of Streator.

Shane is preceded in death by his brother Justin Moore and infant sister Rebekah Zito, grandparents, Dorothy Messick, Russell Allison, Mary Lawson, Joseph Vickers, Gordon Davis.

Shane attended Woodland School and graduated from Streator High School in 2005.

Memorials may be made in his name to any Veterans Organization.
