Roy W. Robertson Sr.

Roy W. Robertson Sr., 84 of Streator passed away Monday evening (April 17^th) at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 1 – 3 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services.

Roy was born on October 7, 1932 in Panola, IL to Hobart and Pearl (Adams) Robertson.  He married Beverly Hatala on August 23, 1957.  She survives.

Also surviving are; Kathleen Soto of Streator, Roy W. (Tina) Robertson Jr of Gilmer, TX, Mary (Shannon) Key of Winnsboro, TX, Joseph Robertson of Normal and Penny Robertson of Toluca, 7 grandchildren, Amy, Nathan, George, Justin, Samantha, Kara and Jessica and a great-granddaughter West, 3 sisters, Lois Murray of Streator, Carol Gula of Streator and Sandra Hjerpe of Plymouth, IN and several nieces and nephews.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

He attended Streator Grade Schools and High School.  Roy served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from trucking with RME Trucking Company.  He enjoyed working in his yard, telling jokes and spending time with family and friends.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to Dr. M. Zafar, Streator AMT Ambulance and OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Livingston County Humane Society or to the American Heart Association.
