Rosella K. Wargo, 92 of Streator passed away Saturday evening (Sept. 17th) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 - 7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:30AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church with cremation rites following services. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck and Scott Liebhart, Joe Pizzolato, Jr., Nancy Bandura, John Majernik, and Chuck Reneer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Pizzolato, Sr., and Chaz Pizzolato.
Rosella was born October 9, 1918 in Grand Ridge to William and Susan (Connor) Bruhns. She married Richard T. Wargo on January 31, 1948 at St. Stephen's Church. He survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Rhonda (Chuck) Liebhart , Robin Wargo, daughter in law Rosie Wargo, 2 daughters at heart, Mary Pizzolato and Gen Majernik all of Streator, 4 grandchildren, Tracy LeBeau, Melissa Mills, Scott and Stacy Liebhart, 4 step-grandchildren, Lily Ramirez, Edward Esparza, Rose (Nena) Esparza and Lucy Esparza,2 grandsons at heart, Joe and Chaz Pizzolato, 4 great-grandchildren and 5 Step-great-grandchildren and a sister Dolores (Don) Hoskins.
Rosella is preceded in death by her parents, son, Rick, daughter in law, Maxine Wargo, brother, Willard Bruhns and sister Marie Foltin.
She worked at Owens' Illinois Glass until her children were born. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband and son in the family business, Rick's Produce in rural Streator. Rosella was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and attended Streator High School.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
