Ronald R. Sievers

Ronald Roy Sievers, 70 of Streator passed away Friday (April 29, 2022) at his home.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held later at a later date at the Cornell Cemetery.

Ron was born on May 1, 1951, in Streator to Roy H. & Dorothy I. (Dunham) Sievers.  He married Tammra Hoskins on February 29, 1988.  She preceded him in death on July 30, 2019.

Surviving are daughters Shannon (Orlan) Harris and Shavonne (Eric) Parsons of Havana, IL, Ariel (Nick) Capristo of Charlotte, NC, and son Shawn (Nicky) Sievers of Havana, IL a number of grandchildren, and his twin sister Connie McKenzie of Cornell, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two infant children, and a sister.

Ron served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era from 1971 to 1974. He was devoted to his work as a paramedic, working for Lee Ambulance, St. Mary’s, and AMT. He also served as a volunteer fireman for Reading Township and Grand Ridge fire departments.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Winterrowd Funeral Home.

My husband and I have known, Ron for many years. We remember when he and, Tammy got married and when they had, Ariel. She was, Ron’s pride and Joy and he wanted nothing but the best for her and Tammy. Ron, was always happy go lucky with a full blown smile. We are deeply saddened by his loss and pray for his family.
