Roma J. Humenick, 95 of Normal passed away Monday morning (Jan. 12th) at the Sugar Creek Alzheimers Care Center, Normal.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:30 until 11:15AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
Burial will be the St’s Peter and Paul Cemetery, Leonore.
Roma was born on September 22, 1919 in Streator to Henry and Juliette Borkowski. She married Albert Humenick on May 6, 1941 in Streator, he passed away on December 11, 2003.
Surviving are sons Robert (Judy) Humenick of Hudson, Daniel (Ann Marie) Humenick and Mark (Susan) Humenick, 2 grandchildren Daniel (Jackie) Humenick, and Karen Humenick-Cullen, step-grandson Todd (Kristen) Eilts, 4 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Sophie, Benjamin and Isabella Humenick, 5 step-great-grandchildren Euler, Feynman, Lianeaus, Pauling and Wilson Eilts, along with several nieces and nephews.
Roma was preceded in death by her husband and sisters Olga Sims, Evalynne Grein and HenriettaRocks.
The family is grateful to the entire staff of Sugar Creek and the OSF Hospice Staff for their loving care of Roma, making her final days peaceful.
Memorials may be directed to the Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal or Sugar Creek Activity Fund or to OSF Hospice, Bloomington
