Robert L. Voytko, Sr.
November 23, 1929 — March 21, 2014
Robert L. Voytko Sr. 84 of Streator passed away Friday evening (Mar. 21st) at Heritage Health, Streator.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9 – 11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Carl, Ryan and Rob Flanary, Dustin and Ryan Voytko and Josh Appel. Honorary will be Jeff Donnell, Louis Ondrey, Tony Ferraro, Matthew Shonk, Brian Quigley, Mike Christie and Chuck Wright.
Bob was born on November 23, 1929 in Streator to Stephen and Mae (Bales) Voytko Sr.
He is survived by children, Robert (Betty Jo) Voytko Jr. of Columbia, TN, David (Cheryl) Voytko of Port St. Lucie, FL, Robin Flanary of Streator, Robbie Voytko of Morris, Betty Voytko-Groom of Collierville, TN, 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, a great-granddaughter Mia Grace Christie, brother Steve Voytko and sister Anna Mae Newcomb.
He attended Streator Schools and he served in the US Navy. Bob retired from Voytko Trucking in Denver Colorado and was a member of the Streator Eagles Club.
