Robert E. Dunning, 50 of Streator, passed away Wednesday (Nov. 4th) evening in rural Streator

Visitation will be held Sunday from 1-5PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.

Services will be held Sunday at 5PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services.

Burial will be in St. Casimer's Cemetery with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Dunning, John Verdiramo, Jonah Dunning, Mark Chismarick, David "Jody" Hallam, Don Meredith, Robert Haughtigan, Jim Wroblewski , Brian Girard, and Bob Mauzy.

He was born July 16, 1959 to James and Mary (Promenschenkel) Dunning.

He married Lisa Chismarick on March 23, 1991. She survives.

Also surviving are, daughter, Brandy (Josh) Massey of Zebulon, N.C, sons JR (Tina Hartzler) Dunning of Minonk, and Matthew (Meredith) Dunning of Streator, 8 Grandchildren, Ashlyn Dunning, Anna Davidson, Rachel Williams, Tessa Christensen, Jacob Dunning, Sierra, Miranda, and Caylie Massey, brothers, Michael (April) ,Charles (Kathy), Roger (Lynn)Dunning of Streator, sisters, MariKay(Erick) Winbourne of Angier, NC, Jamie Novak of Streator, sister-in-law, Linda Dunning, several nieces and nephews, Father-in-law, Louis Chismarick of Streator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Ashley Nicole Dunning in infancy, Mother-in-law, Eleanor Chismarick.

He served in the U.S. Marines from 1977-1981 as a diesel mechanic. He was employed as a sheet metal worker with Local #1 and many years with Dunning Heating and Air Conditioning.

He was a member of the N.R.A. (National Rifle Association), and a former member of the Sandy Ford Sportsman Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed mushroom and deer hunting.

He graduated Woodland School in 1977 and attended Kankakee Community College.
