Rita Mae Steczek

Rita M. Steczek, 89 of Streator passed away Wednesday (May 17, 2023) at Heritage Health, Streator

A visitation will be held Wednesday (May 24^th) from 10 AM until 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church.  Burial will be in St. Casimir’s Cemetery.

Rita was born on July 3, 1933, in Streator to Frank and Josephine (Kolodziej) Steczek.

Surviving is a sister-in-law Gloria Steczek of Henry and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her twin sister Anita Lucas, Elizabeth Pearson, Florence Lynch, Esther Solomon, Mary Gaber and Sylvia Hudachko, brothers, Frank, Ervin, and Raymond Steczek and Ralph in infancy.

Rita attended St. Anthony’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1951.  She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Health for the great care that she received there.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
