Rita Mae Robinson

Rita Mae Robinson, 81 of Streator passed away Wednesday evening (January 17^th) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 – 8 PM with funeral services to be held at 7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with cremation rites following services and burial to be in Riverview Cemetery.

Rita was born on May 1, 1936 in Streator to Michael and Margaret (Fialko) Madara.

She is survived by daughter Melissa Robinson and son Michael Robinson both of Streator, grandchildren Terry (Kristin) Dobyns Jr, Mark and Jonathan Garcia, great-grandchildren Kaydence, Lehlend, Marky and Ella, sisters Marge Chennilaro, Patricia (Francis) Wahl, sisters-in-law, Bonnie Madara and Ruth Madara all of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Mark and Jeff, brothers Ralph, John, Eugene, James and Joe, sisters Marian Cavanaugh, Betty Winebriner and Florence Haas.

She attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.  Rita retired from Red Wing after 32 years and she enjoyed crocheting, baking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and family and friends.
