Rita Jean Harlan

Rita Jean Harlan, 76 of Streator passed away Monday (May 12, 2025) at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center.

Private family services were held at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.

Rita was born on October 26, 1948, in Creal Springs, IL to Ray and Elizabeth (Boner) Johnson.

Surviving is her husband Butch Harlan of Streator, children, Gene (Selita) Vissering of Rainbow City, AL, Jason Vissering of Union City, TN, Mary (Kevin) Coplin of Streator, Steven (Dawn) Harlan of Streator, grandchildren, Alyssa Vissering, Anne Underwood, Bobby Vissering, Maddy Harlan, Destiny Harlan, Willow Coplin, Stephanie Harlan and Jayden Coplin, great grandchildren Daisy Underwood, Liana Moore and Oliver Vissering.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents.

She was employed at Plymouth Tube for 34 years. Rita loved being with and taking care of her family and going to Starved Rock.
