Raymond O. Simpson, 64 of Wenona passed away Wednesday morning (Jan. 19th) at his home.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth O. Simpson, Patrick Simpson, Jr., Kenneth , Russell, and Rob Abbott, Doug and Adam Missel, and Mark Irvin.
Raymond was born on September 3, 1946 in Streator, IL to Olof and Mildred (VanGundy) Simpson.
He married Carolyn Guy on August 22, 1970. She survives.
Also surviving are sons, Kenneth Olof Simpson of Streator, and Wesley (Michelle) Simpson of Long Point, 3 grandchildren, Miranda Hakes, and Bradley and Jesse Simpson, sister, Sharon (Donald) Lipold of Rutland, brothers, Arthur (Linda) Simpson of Manville, Patrick Simpson of Streator, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated from Streator High School in 1966. Raymond served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was employed at Sweep-A-Lot in Ottawa. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
Memorials may be directed to the family of Raymond Simpson.
