Raymond Edward Byrd

Raymond Edward Byrd, 88 of Streator passed away Friday (May 17, 2019) at the Aperion Health Care, Marseilles.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7 PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services.

Raymond was born on April 23, 1931 in Kinsman to Leslie and Dorothy (Skaggs) Byrd.

He is survived by a daughter Roxanne (Ralph) Trainor of Streator, sisters Mary Sue Nicklin, Marjorie (James) Rhodes, Patricia Byrd and Barbara Corbett all of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Delores Wright.

Raymond attended the Greeley and Plumb grade schools.  He was employed for over 30 years at the Smith Douglas Plant and a member of the Streator Eagles Club where he was custodian for many years.

Raymond enjoyed fishing, making bird houses and working on cars.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter.
