Passed away Friday morning (May 15th) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 - 7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at the Funeral Home
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be, Elmer "Jake" Kollar, Robert Matsko, Gene Teegardin , Active will be Charles Slack Jr., Jason Sterling, Chad and Bill Kerestes, Steve and Jeff Wakeman
Born November 1, 1928 in Dana, IL to Walter and Maud (Harvey) Wakeman
Married, Barbara Melvin on May 7, 1955, she passed away December 31, 1994, he later married Dorothy "Dotty" Lundy Miller on December 28, 1995, she survives
Also surviving are, 2 Sons, Donald (Debbie) Wakeman, David (Lori) Wakeman both of Streator, Daughter, Deanna (Charles) Slack Jr. of Rock Island, 6 Step Children, 8 Grandchildren, Brandi Sterling, Steven and Jeffery, Abby, Maggie and Johnathan Wakeman, Carly and Paige Slack, 11 Step-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandsons
He is preceded in death by 3 Sisters, Rose Kress, Frances Brandolino, Mary Kollar, 5 Brothers, John, Roy, Carl, Thomas and George Wakeman
Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army from 1951-52 as a MP
Retired from Owens' Illinois Glass in 1991 after 38 years
He attended Central Church of Christ, avid Bingo Player, and Graduated from Dana High School in 1945
