Phyllis J. Simpko

Phyllis J. Simpko, 94 of Streator passed away on Monday Jan. 4, 2021 at St. James Medical Center in Pontiac.
Private family services will be held.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Phyllis was born on March 10, 1926 in Streator, IL to James and Margaret (Dietrich) Swain.
She married Albert Simpko. He passed away July 27, 1984.
Surviving is son, Gary (Debbie) Simpko of Streator and 2 great –granddaughters, Tatum and Maya Simpko.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, grandson, Shane Simpko, granddaughter, Heather Simpko, sisters, Ione Swain and Grace Martin and brother, James T. Swain.
She attended Streator grade school and graduated from Streator High School. Phyllis was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church. She retired from Kristals Womens Wear.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
