Pamela Kay Vernon, 48 of Streator went to be with the Lord she loved on Sunday morning (December 6, 2015) at the ASTA Care Center, Toluca.
Following cremation, a visitation will be held on Friday (Dec. 11th) from 10 to 11 AM at the Central Church of Christ. Services will be held Friday (Dec. 11th) at 11 AM at the Central Church of Christ.
Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pamela was born on July 4, 1967 in Alton, IL to Daniel and Sandra (Forman) Vernon.
She is survived by a son Dustin Vernon of Streator, mother, Sandra (Mike Ritter) Vernon of Streator, father, Daniel (Penny) Vernon of Palm Harbor, FL, sisters, Penny Vernon of Normal, IL, Melissa Vernon of Blythwood, SC, a nephew BJ Hagadorn of Blythwood, SC and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pamela is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Marcella Forman, paternal grandparents Glen and Vivian Vernon.
Pamela graduated from Streator High School in 1985 and attended IVCC in the child care program. She was formerly employed at Streator Foods, Glenwood House and Streator Development Child Care Center. Pamela was a member of Central Church of Christ and the Tuesday morning Women Bible Study. She loved to bake and cook.
Memorials may be made in her name to Asta Care Center, Vitas Hospice, Central Church of Christ or to a charity of the donors’ choice.
