Norman L. Wargo, 79 of Streator passed away Wednesday morning (August 5th) at Heritage Health, Streator.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 11 – 1:30 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Travis and Steven Yurich, Anthony and Jason Clark, sons-in-law, Donald Cox and Michael Clark.
Norman was born on December 1, 1935 in Streator to Irene Wargo Steinmetz. He married Dorothy Postulka on June 14, 1959. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2011.
Surviving are daughters Cynthia Ann Wargo Yurich of Reed City, MI, Rose (Michael) Clark of Streator, Chris (Don) Cox of Streator and Sandra (Larry) Quick of Long Point, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Norman is preceded in death by his mother, step-father Matthew Steinmetz, son Norman Jr., great-grandson Owen Yurich.
Norman attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and Streator High School and retired from Owen’s Illinois Glass. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors’ choice.
