Norma F. Sherwood

Norma F. Sherwood, 85 of Streator passed away Sunday evening at Villas of Holly Brook, Streator.

A visitation will be held Saturday form 10 – 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at noon at the funeral home with burial in the Esmen Camp Cemetery, Cornell
Norma was born on June 21, 1936, in Rounds Creek Oklahoma to Milton and Ella Jane (Hickey) Thomason. She married Robert E. Sherwood on April 16, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2020.
Surviving are children, Robert V. (Cheryl) Sherwood of Buffalo, IL, Karen (David) Burkitt of Theodosia, MO, Tim (Lea Ann) Sherwood of Atlanta, GA, and Kelly (Tim) Burkitt of Leesburg, AL, a brother David (Donna) Sherwood of Streator, grandchildren, Brett Burkitt, Amanda (Jason) Brenizer, Nicole Sherwood, Tom Sherwood, Alexandra Sherwood, and Jordan Burkitt, and great-granddaughters Emily Brenizer and Elizabeth Sherwood.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, grandson Kyle Burkitt, sisters, Mary Sue Cheatham, Pauline Gunter, Mildred Dickinson, Billie Jo Stewart, Patsy Jean Thomason, brothers, Boyd Thomason and Van Thomason
Norma graduated from Lindsay High School in Lindsay, OK, she retired from Owens Illinois Glass and was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
