Nancy A. Yanello, 75 of Plainfield and formerly of Streator passed away Monday evening (May 21st) at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Joliet.
Following cremation a visitation will be held Friday from 11 – 1 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Nancy was born on September 3, 1942 in Streator to John B. and Alice (Gerber) Wagner II. She married Jerry Yanello on December 1, 1962. He survives.
Also surviving are children Jerry (Julie) Yanello Jr of Huston, TX, Lynn (Richard) Yoerk of Mahomet and Bob (Kim) Yanello of Joliet, grandchildren Marcus and Devyn Yanello, Ryan Shanley and Michael Yoerk, Jonathan and Alice Yanello and Ashlee Cravatta and a great-grandson Case Hudson Cravatta, brothers Richard Wagner of Morris and Robert (Cindy) Wagner of Galesburg and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, brother John Wagner, sisters Marilyn Risley and Ruth Kmetz
Nancy retired from the Red Cross and was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital in the Lab as a technician for many years. She attended Streator Grade School s and graduated from Streator High School in 1960.
Nancy was a volunteer coach at the Streator YMCA for the swim team and she also coached girls softball teams. Nancy enjoyed gardening and doing arts and crafts.
