Mona L. Eutsey

Mona L. Eutsey, 68 of Streator passed away Saturday morning (April 13, 2019) at the OSF Center for Health, Streator.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Tony Ross officiating.  Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Mainor and Dalton Eutsey.

Mona was born on January 7, 1951 in Streator to Leonard and Loretta (Bailey) Melrose.  She married Ronald D. Eustey Sr on September 8, 1972.  He preceded her in death on March 22, 2014.

Surviving are children Angela (Steven) Mainor, Corey (Laura) Eutsey both of Streator, grandchildren, Jacob, Marissa, Dalton, Alexia and Alyssa, great-grandchildren Angelina, Luis and Charlotte, brothers Don (Lauren) Melrose, Spencer Melrose, Terry Melrose and Dale (Sue) Melrose all of Streator, sisters Jonny (Dan) Schlicker of Pontiac, Sandy (Glen) Baker of Streator, Carol (David) Antolik of Streator and Virginia Phillips of Collum, brothers-in-law, Kevin Vidergar of Streator and Ken North of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, former husband Ron, son Ronald Dale Eutsey Jr, grandsons Nicolas and Alex Mainor, sisters Christine Vidergar and Gloria North.

Mona attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1969.  She served in the US Navy from 1969 to 1971.  She retired as a Certified Nurses Aid from the Good Samaritan Home and Home Health.  She enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Fornof Manor and doing ceramics.
