Mary "Mitzi" L. Holloway

Mary L. (Mitzi) Holloway, 82 of Streator, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Hospital. Per Mitzi’s request, private family services will be held.

Born May 22, 1943, in Streator she was the daughter of John and Molly (Minick) Adamchak. She married Richard F. Holloway on April 1, 1963, in Ottawa. They recently celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary.

Mitzi is survived by her husband Richard F. Holloway, Son Richard J. (Kimberly) Holloway, and Daughter Rhonda L. (Jim Brewer) Holloway; Grandsons Kaleb R. Holloway and Cole R. Holloway, her sisters Deloris (Tootie) Tuck and Nancy Arreguin, many, many nieces and nephews and special friend Dianne Williamson.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers; John (Bud) Adamchak, William Adamchak, Andrew (Shin) Adamchak, Edward Adamchak, Daniel Adamchak, Thomas Adamchak, and sister Vera Adamchak Zulz.

Mitzi worked as a lunch monitor at Centennial School, retired from Kmart, and as a Pre-school Bus-Monitor.

Mitzi’s family was the most important thing in her life and she was so proud of each and every one of them. She spent many of her days on the golf course, either playing or watching her husband, son, and grandson in tournaments. If she wasn’t on the golf course, you could find her at South Side cheering on their baseball teams and visiting with all the children she knew.
