Janie Gochanour

Mary Jane “Janie” Gochanour, 77 of Streator passed away Sunday (December 28, 2025) at her home.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held Sunday (March 15, 2026) at 1PM at Chippers Restaurant. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.

Janie was born on January 14, 1948, in Streator to Lee and Luella (Schook) Gochanour.

Surviving is her sister Judy (Michael) Mobley of Dwight, nephew Dan Mobley of Dwight, niece Michelle Mitchell of Belvidere and several great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Janie attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1966 and attended Mid-State College of Business in Peoria. She retired from Caterpillar in Peoria in the accounting department.
