Marlin Merle Brown

January 20, 1936 — August 2, 2019

Marlin M. Brown, 83 of Streator passed away Friday morning (August 2, 2019) at St Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

Visitation will be held Monday from 10 – 11am at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11am at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael, Cody, Mathias, Evan and Kegan Brown and Dalton Starkey.

Marlin was born on January 20, 1936 in Streator to Reuben and Wanda (Hillenberg) Brown. 

He married Yvonne Heidenreich on April 21, 1954.  She passed away September 2, 2008.

Surviving are daughters, Vicki (Dan) Webster of Streator, Sharon Shuett of Streator and Lisa Brown of Toluca, sons, Michael (Karan) Brown of Streator and William (Trisha) Brown of Streator, 8 grandchildren, Karen, Michael, Cody, Mathias, Evan and Kegan Brown and Katlynn and Dalton Starkey, 2 great-grandchildren, Zack Brown and Lydia Starkey and brother, Reuben Arthur Brown of San Francisco, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, sons, Marlin Jr., and Richard Brown, step son, Gary Raridon and brother, Kenneth William Brown.

Marlin attended Manville grade school and Streator High School. He was a self employed farmer and carpenter.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
