Marilyn J. Decker

Marilyn Jean Decker, 82 of rural Streator passed away Sunday (August 2, 2026) at the ARC of Streator.

A private family service will be held with burial in the Ancona Cemetery.

Marilyn was born on December 9, 1943, in Streator to Eugene and Idelle (Coe) Decker.

Surviving are daughter, Elizabeth (Robert) Cole of Fort Pierce, FL, granddaughter Taylor Cole, brother, Tom (Pat) Decker of Long Point, companion, Bill Durre of rural Streator, nieces and nephews, Samantha (Gary) Miller, Monica Melvin, Butch (Tricia) Melvin, Scot (Alisa) Decker, Kyle (Megan) Decker and Kayla (Josh) Ulrich and great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard and sister Jayne Zion.

Marilyn graduated from Woodland School and retired from the Good Samaritan in Flanagan. She was affiliated with the Ancona Church of Christ and the Central Church of Christ.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
