Margaret Richards passed away on Friday August 9, 2024, at the age of 99 years + 7 months. Margaret and her husband Thurlow were lifelong residents of Streator, IL who owned The Shoe Box shoe store on Main Street for many years. Margaret was the daughter of Irl and Margretha “Minnie” Shull.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thurlow, daughter Donna Richards Hart; brother Ray Shull and wife Florence; along with numerous relatives and many friends. Margaret is survived by daughter Connie Young, Missouri and son Tom Richards, New Mexico. Also surviving are five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Margaret was a lifelong member of the Park Presbyterian Church in Streator.

Memorials may be made to the church.  Visitation will be Thursday (August 22nd) from 10:00a.m. until noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at noon followed by burial in Riverview Cemetery in Streator.
