Lucile A. Durdan

Lucile A. Durdan, 81 of rural Grand Ridge passed away Thursday morning (Jan. 22nd) at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4 – 7 PM at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Lon Alderman officiating.
Burial will be in the Grand Rapids Cemetery, Grand Ridge. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Matthew and Phil Durdan, Michael Keenan and Jake Handzus, nephews Joe Grant and Larry Durdan.
Lucile was born on November 23, 1933 in Chicago to Maurice “Maury†and Annette (Corbett) Grant. She married Thomas F. Durdan on June 20, 1953 he passed away on July 7, 1987.
Surviving are children John T. Durdan of Streator, Michael Durdan of Streator, Charles (Cindy) Durdan of Grand Ridge, Catherine (Jim) Keenan of Black Mountain, NC and Patrick Durdan of Grand Ridge, grandchildren Lindsey Handzus, Michael Keenan, Casey, Matthew and Phillip Durdan, step-grandchildren Tammie Biskie and Tom Haynes, great-grandchildren Briggs and Reese Handzus, Paige and Cole Haynes and Tyler Biskie and brother Edward Grant of Cornell.
Lucile is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law Anna Marie Durdan and brother Tim Grant.
She was a former reporter for the Times Press several years ago and for several years she served on the Streator Unlimited Board. Lucile graduated from Cornell High School in 1951.
Memorials may be made to Streator Unlimited, Grand Ridge Fire Department or LaSalle County 4-H.
