Lucas J. Shepard

Lucas “Luke” J. Shepard, 41 of Streator, born January 10, 1983, passed away April 4, 2024.

Our family regrets to inform you that Lucas “Luke” lost his battle with Lupus Thursday at home.

Luke was best known for making his friends and family laugh.  His laughter and witty sense of humor will truly be missed by his loved ones.

Luke is survived by his children, Alyssa (Christian) Henson and Austin Shepard of Streator, his mother Cindy Shepard of Streator, father Brian (Joan Marie) Shepard of Pontiac, paternal grandmother Marilyn Shepard of Streator, siblings, Jeremy (Carrie) Shepard of Lostant, Sarah Shepard of Streator, Hannah (Colin) Ireland of Streator, Johnny (Andrea) Klein of California and Jasmine Shepard of Minonk along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Luke is preceded in death by the mother of his children Nikki Chambers, maternal grandparents Dennis and Evelyn Danko and paternal grandfather Marshall Shepard.

Luke may have left this earth early but the impact he had on his friends and family will be felt forever.   He will be missed until we meet again.

Services will be held Saturday at 12noon at Riverview Cemetery.

The Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
