Linn F. Read

Linn F. Read, 76, of Grand Ridge, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Aperion Care in Marseilles.

He was born Dec. 3, 1941, the son of Franklin E. Read, of rural Grand Ridge, and Ruth Read Rinker. Linn was a graduate of Ottawa High School, Class of 1959.

He was a truck driver for over 35 years and farmed the family farm.

He is survived by his son, Franklin Curtis Read, of Plano; one granddaughter, Kaylee E. Read, of Plano; two sisters, Ruth (Larry) Gage, of Marseilles, and Joy (John) Christie, of Ottawa; three nephews, Bruce (Cheryl) Gage, of Marseilles, Read Gage, of Marseilles, and Brian (Beth) Christie, of Michigan City, Ind.; and two nieces, Laurie Gage, of Marseilles, and Allison (Mike) Mueller, of Crystal Lake.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Arrangements are with Grand Ridge Funeral Home. Cremation rites were accorded with private burial at a later date.
