Lewis H. Smith, 88 of Flanagan passed away Saturday evening (March 14th) at Pontiac Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Following cremation a private family service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Streator.
Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lewis was born on January 22, 1927 in Springerton, IL to Loren and Martha (Akers) Smith.
He married Dorothy A. Howard in October of 1949 she survives.
Also surviving are brothers Donald (Deloris) Smith of Pontiac, Darrell Smith of Mineola, TX, Steen (Kathy) Smith of Franklin Grove, IL and sisters Ellen and Betty of Sublet
Lewis is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert and Carroll Smith, and Sisters Ann Elmquist and Eileen Smith and brother Gene and sister Helen in childhood.
He was a carpenter for 50 yrs with Local #195 and a farm hand for Kelly Brothers in Cornell and was of the Methodist Faith.
