Kristy Lynne Svoboda

February 6, 1978 — July 19, 2015

Kristy Lynne Svoboda, 37 of Streator passed away Sunday at her home with her companion Buddy (her dog) by her side.
Kristy's wishes were to donate her body to science so that her birth defect can be better understood & prevented. It was her goal in life to make a difference in others lives & Im sure she would want to carry on with that legacy in her death, as well. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday from 11 – 1 PM at the Streator Knights of Columbus. Wear your most colorful vibrant clothing, bring flowers (from your garden or store), & bring your memories of her to share. If you cannot be with us, we would like to suggest that you launch a balloon release in her memory, plant some flowers in memory of her courageous beautiful life, or something that you feel is meaningful.
Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
Kristy was born on February 6, 1978 in Riverside, CA.
She is survived by her parents, Glenn and Connie (Centko) Svoboda of Streator, biological father, William Freeman of Rhinelander, WI, loving companion Buddy, brother Andy Svoboda of Streator, sister Ashley Svoboda of Prophetstown, maternal grandfather, Florian Centko of Streator, paternal grandfather, Robert (Mary Ellen) Svoboda of Independence, MO, and by her biological family in Wisconsin.

Kristys love of nature and gardening was evident to all that visited her porch and the Fairy Gardens that live on.
Kristy is no longer confined & hampered by a body that just didn't work right for her.
She is held back no longer~ She flies free~
