Kimberly Ann Wicks

Kimberly Ann Wicks, 47 of Streator passed away Friday evening (July 9, 2021) at the Aperion Care, Marseilles.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 AM until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12noon at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Ancona Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Mason Mills, Gary Hillyer, Marcia Hale, Jessica Durbin, Robert Carpenter and David Hillyer.

Kim was born on March 12, 1974 in Streator to Thomas and Carol (Hillyer) Mills.  She married Brian Wicks on March 12, 2002.  He survives.

Also surviving is her mother Carol Pottinger of Streator, brother Stephen Mills of Ajo, AZ, grandmother Betty Mills of Ancona, sister-in-law, Marcia (Earl) Hale of Springfield, TN, nephew Mason Mills, great-nieces Savanna and Mya Mills, great-nephews, Brantley Mills and Keefer Herzog, aunt Audrey Klein of Florida, uncles, David Mills of Streator and Mike (Tara) Mills of Streator, father-in-law, Roy Wicks of Streator and brother-in-law, Rick (Linda) Wicks of Streator.

Kim is preceded in death by her father Thomas, step-father Earl Pottinger, nephew and niece Matthew and Summer Mills, grandfather John Mills, and her mother-in-law Norma Wicks.

Kim graduated from Streator High School in 1992.  She was employed with Streator Unlimited until her health declined.

Kimberly had suffered and endured FTD for many, many years. Kim was a beautiful person throughout. She was pure at heart. She loved unconditionally. She was not defined by her debilitating disease. However, she defined herself. Her strength, and all the challenges of the disease. We are better people because of how she touched our lives and the strength and love she showed throughout. Her willingness to be happy. She openly gave us love and joy continuously no matter what. We will always love you Kim.
