Kenneth R. Trager

Kenneth Ray Trager, 79 of Grand Ridge passed away Tuesday evening (April 21, 2026) at the ARC of Streator.

Private family services will be held at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home with burial in the Grand Rapids Cemetery, Grand Ridge.

Ken was born on September 7, 1946, in Peru to Harold and Mardell (Blossy) Trager. He married Linda Cole on August 12,1967. She survives.

Also surviving are son, Ted (Janna) Trager of Grand Ridge, daughter, Jackie (Keith) Stevenson of Ottawa and son, Donald (Sarah) Trager of Grand Ridge, grandchildren, Colten (Kaitlin) Trager, Lindsey (Tyler Amm) Trager, Nicole (Kevin) Bergeson, Claire and Colette Trager, great grandchildren Ellie Trager and Cade Bergeson and a sister Colleen (John) Dodd of Oglesby.

He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Alexandria “Ali” Stevenson.

Ken attended Deer Park Grade School and graduated from Ottawa High School in 1964. He served in the US Army Reserves for 8 years. Ken was a member of the former Grand Ridge Presbyterian Church and the LaSalle County Farm Bureau. He was employed for Snap on Tools for 35 years and a lifelong farmer in the Deer Park area. Ken enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and golfing in his earlier years.
