Kenneth Wayne Libby, 84 of Streator passed away Saturday morning (April 18, 2026) at his home.
A visitation will be held Monday (April 27th) from 4 – 6 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with services following at 6PM. Burial will be Wednesday (Apr. 29th) at 11 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
Kenneth was born on December 30, 1941, in Winterset, Iowa to Francis and Jean *Hulin) Libby. He married Kathleen “Kathy” Collins on June 23, 1963, they had been married for 62 years. She survives in Streator.
Also surviving are daughter Veronica (Robert) Weber of Streator and son Nicholas (Kerri) Libby of Streator; grandchildren, Nathan (Sarah) Weber, Andrew (Amber) Weber, Zachary (Hailey) Weber, Cole (Cabrey Boyington) Libby, Nicholas (Cinta) Libby, Blake Libby, Parker Libby, Trystin and Kylie Nettleingham; great grandsons, Ace and Oliver; siblings, John (Olive) Libby of Missouri, Mary (Jim) Barnes of Streator, Bill (Mary) Libby of Streator, Larry (Charla) Libby of Streator and Phyllis Hiltebrand of California and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim, Dick and Jerry.
Kenneth served in the US Army from 1959 to 1962 being stationed in Germany. He retired from Owens Illinois Glass and was co-owner of Kathy’s Creations Arts and Crafts. Kenny was a sweet and kind person who had a smile for everyone. He loved his family dearly and was loved by all. Ken also had a special place in his heart for family pets especially their Basset hound Maggie who has been waiting for him to walk her again.
The family would like to give a special thank you to his home health care team, Zach and Hailey Weber, Bob Weber and Kerri Libby for the wonderful care and support given.
