Kayla Noel Cook, 34 of Streator passed away Saturday (June 17th).
A visitation will be held Friday from 4 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held following the visitation.
Kayla was born June 18, 1982 in Streator to Kurt and Robin (Huff) Cook Sr. She married Daniel Head on September 1, 2011. He survives.
Also surviving are her parents, father Kurt (Missy) Cook Sr. of Streator, mother Robin (Brian) Galloway of Jonesville, brothers Kurt Cook Jr. of Streator, Marc Bucalo of Jonesville and Landen Cook, Streator, mother-in-law, Janice Head of Streator and grandmother -in-law, Myrtle Kooi of Streator. She is also survived by her two nieces Addyson Cook and Anya Bussell.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Peter and Norma Moxley and maternal grandparents John and Sondra Huff.
She graduated from Streator High School in 2000 and attended IVCC.
Kayla was an avid reader and lover of comics and video games. She was also an animal lover and had two beloved cats, Noah and Grey Beard.
She was a life long fan of the Chicago Cubs and was ecstatic to watch them win the 2016 World Series.
