Kathleen Sue Melvin

Kathleen Sue Melvin, 54 of Streator passed away Sunday morning (July 17, 2022) at her home.

Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held Saturday (Jul. 23^rd) from 4 – 6 PM at the Streator Moose Lodge.

Kathleen was born on October 18, 1967, in Streator to Richard and Maureen (Wiemers) Bowman.  She married her high school sweetheart Donald L. Melvin Jr on November 8, 1985.  He survives.

Also surviving are, son Donald Melvin III of Streator, grandchildren, Damien, Brantley and Dominic, her parents, Richard and Maureen Bowman of Lebanon, TN, brother, Michael (Julie) Bowman of Grand Ridge, sister, Paige (Greg) Scott of Lebanon, TN, mother-in-law Sandra Adamchak of Streator, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Sandy Melvin of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

Kathleen attended Streator grade school and graduated from Streator High School in 1985.  She was formerly employed as a driver for Streator Drugs and lastly, she was a grand nanny for her grandchildren.

Kathleen enjoyed riding Harley Motorcycles, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to her grandchildren’s educational fund.
