Judith Ann North

January 6, 1939 — April 10, 2017

Judith Ann North, 78 of Streator passed away Monday (April 10th) at Heritage Health Care and Rehabilitation.

Private family services will be held, burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Judith was born on January 6, 1939 in Streator to William and Katherine (Bargreen) Mitchell.

She married Carl North on April 12, 1958.  He survives.

Also surviving is daughter, Elizabeth (Thomas) Mc Clellan of Streator and son David (Andrea) North of Washington, 8 grandchildren, Katie Ann (Dalton) Muntz, Benjamin, Tessa and Walker Mc Clellan, Tayler  North, Sarah, Ian and Aaron Kurth, brother, William (Mary) Mitchell of Sikeston, MO, and best friend, Phyllis Richards of Streator.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jane Eichorst.

 Judy was a member of Central Church of Christ.  She attended Garfield Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1957.  Judy was formerly employed at Woodland School and retired from Streator Township High School in 1996. 

She enjoyed boating, a sunny day by the ocean and swimming at home and at the YMCA.  Judy was an avid sports fan. She really enjoyed watching basketball, NFL football games, Streator High School girls softball and, of course, QVC. Judy always had a smile on her face and lived life to the fullest. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother and friend. She will be forever loved and missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at OSF St. Francis in Peoria and Heritage Health Care in Streator for their exceptional care the past two months.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Streator High School Girls Sports Program.
