Joseph William Wheaton, 35 of Streator passed away on Sunday (June 21, 2026) in Sparland, IL

Visitation for Joseph will be Wednesday, (July 1st) from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after the visitation at The Dollar (817 E. Main St, Streator)

Joseph was born on December 15, 1991, in Peoria IL to Eugenea and David Harmon. They survive in Streator.

He is also survived by his siblings, Robert Wheaton and Nadine Harmon, Stepchildren: Renae (Toby) Chromchak, Amanda (Seth) Bottoms, Hailey Bottoms and Buddy Bottoms, 2 grandchildren Tatum Cosby, Seth Miles Jr and Baby O on the way, Aunts: Samantha Wheaton, Agnes Vernoy, Deb Turner, Danine Heaton, Tracey Blameuser, Rayann Blameuser and Uncles: Ray Blameuser, Joe Blameuser and Dustin Heaton.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Dale & Ursula Wheaton and Ray Sr. and Irene Blameuser, Cousins: Nikki Finney, Timmy Sterling and Mikki Sansom and a granddaughter, Alaska Miles.

Joseph attended Woodland School and Streator high School. He was a Handyman throughout the years. He enjoyed the Cubs, Bears, Jelly Roll, Boots and baseball hats. Memorials may be made to the family.
