Joseph Edward Palko

Joseph “Joey” Edward Palko, 70 of Streator passed away Tuesday evening (May20, 2025) at the OSF Center for Health, Streator.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10A.M. until 12Noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12noon at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Riverview Cemetery.

Joe was born on September 28, 1954, in Streator to Joseph J. and Joan (Roberts) Palko. He married Cheryl Wells on October 20, 1973. She survives.

Also surviving are, daughter, Crystal (Marcus) Irvin of LaSalle, son, Brad (Jennifer) Palko of Streator, granddaughters, Ava, Aria, Alivia and Alaina, and brother James (Sue) Palko of Streator, aunt, Rita (Roth) Miller of Kansas City, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandchild and a brother Jeff, uncles John Palko and Butch Minkler.

Joe attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School. He retired from Vactor Mfg. in 2019, he was also formerly employed at Braidwood Nuclear Plant, Smith Douglas, Pontiac Correctional Center and Anthony Truck Body.

Joe enjoyed fishing and watching the Chicago White Sox.
