John Thomas Smith

John T. Smith, 65 of Streator passed away on June 1st, 2023, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

A private graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery at a later date.

Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. 

John was born on November 5, 1957, in Chicago to Harry and Elaine (Knoop) Smith. 

He married Terry Mann on August 25, 1977.  She survives.

Surviving is his wife, Terry Smith of Streator, children, Charissa Smith of Streator and Sean Smith of Tiffin, OH, grandchildren, Ashleigh Smith of Spring Valley, Dallas (Rachel) Smith of Grant Park, Evan Smith of Tennessee, Zachary Smith of Streator, Ransom Akin of Streator and Mary Smith of Cornell, great grandchildren, Grayson Smith and Kane Smith and sister, Linda Cook of Streator.

John was preceded in death by his parents, son, John Smith Jr., brothers, Arthur Smith and Harry Smith and sister, Joyce Smith.

He attended Oakland Park Grade school and Streator High School.

John worked at Flink’s Manufacturing as a machine operator.
