John P. Piatkowski

John P. Piatkowski, 76 of Streator passed away Monday January 3, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

A visitation will be held Monday from 10 am – 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with services following at noon.
John was born on November 23, 1945, in Weil, Germany to Walter and Theresa (Nadzielska) Piatkowski. He married Nancy Lucas on April 26, 1968. She survives.
Also surviving are son James Piatkowski of S. Carolina, daughter, Carissa Piatkowski of Streator, brother, Walter Piatkowski of Streator, sisters, Mary (Robert) Brown of Princeville, Christine (Rodney) Fultz of Shabbona, his God daughter Kelly Senko, several nieces and nephews. John also leaves behind several very close family friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, nephews, Ryan Piatkowski and Eric Fultz and niece, D’anne Piatkowski.
John attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1965. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. John retired from Lyon Metal in Montgomery and was formerly a carpenter. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church. John enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears and Notre Dame.
John was such a vibrant character. He will always be in the hearts of his loving family and friends.
