JoAnne Olson

JoAnne Olson, 82, of Grand Ridge passed away on December 16, 2022, at her home.   

A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 – 12 Noon at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon at the funeral home.  

Burial will be in Grand Ridge Cemetery.   

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy Lurz, Kyle Olson, Matthew Boyd, Aidan Boyd, Ethan Olson and nephew, Michael Olson.   

JoAnne was born on February 8, 1940, in Ottawa, IL to Irvin and Anna (Pastorik) Collins.   

She married Roger Olson on July 18, 1959.  He passed away on December 27, 2002. 

Surviving are sons, Gregg (Mary) Olson of Ottawa, Jeff (Jill) Olson of Ladd, Brian (Lisa) Olson of Augusta, GA, and daughter, Kristy (Joe) Boyd of Hudson, 9 grandchildren, Gabriella Crivilare, Ethan Olson, Jeremy Lurz, Kyle (Victoria) Olson, Kristen (Nick) Leaf, Karsyn Olson and Matthew, Aidan and Leah Boyd, 7 great-grandchildren, Savannah, Tyler, Amelia, Harley, Caylee, Bentley and Kaylee and 2 great-great grandchildren and sister, Kay (Doyle) Olson of Ottawa.   

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, John Roger Collins and sisters-in-law, Joan Fincham, Marsha Sulkey and Barb Kerwin.   

JoAnne attended Grand Ridge grade school and graduated from Marquette High School in 1958.  

She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Field Catholic Church in Grand Ridge.   

Memorials may be made to the Grand Ridge Volunteer Fire Department.
