Jerry W. Muncy Sr.

Jerry W. Muncy Sr. ,71 of Streator passed away Saturday (August 10, 2024) at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Care.

A visitation will be held Wednesday (Aug. 14th) from 4 – 6 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with cremation rites following.

Jerry was born on May 29, 1953, in Harlan County, Kentucky to Paul and Gladys (Saylor) Muncy.

Surviving are Tracy (Steve) Jacobsen of Streator, Jerry (Courtney) Muncy Jr., of Grand Ridge and Naomi (Andrew) Johnston of Mountain Home, AR, grandchildren, Kayla, Hannah and Kenneth, 4 great grandchildren, brothers Joseph Muncy, and David (Kathy) Muncy, sister Pauletta Lowe all of Tennessee, several nieces and nephews and a close friend Ellen Winchell of Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Zillis “Zeke” Muncy, Willard “Dean” Osborne, Herbert Muncy and Teddy Muncy.

Jerry retired from Caterpillar in Aurora. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending dances and garage sales.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
